Every DX164-W offers 16 mic preamps (with independent Phantom Power LED indicators), 4 XLR line outs, boasts 96kHz converters, and supports three power supply options:
The DX164-W is designed for wall mount operation or installation in a stage’s “Dip Trap.” It also fits a standard NEMA box (custom brackets required, sold separately). This expander is also compatible with the ACE Backstage 174SLBK stage pocket system. Enhance your remote I/O by connecting this expander to a mixer from Allen & Heath’s dLive, Avantis, or SQ series, or to the AHM-64 audio matrix processor. (Note: All external gear and accessories sold separately.)
dLive
Add up to 6 DX164-W expanders to a standard dLive system (4 via MixRack, 2 via Surface) to add up to 96 remote inputs and 24 remote outputs. Use a DX Link card or DX hub to connect up to 46 units for maximized connectivity options (808 analog inputs, 224 analog outputs).
Connect your DX164-W via a single Cat5e cable (Ethernet-based Layer 2) to the dLive Surface, MixRack, DX Hub, or upstream DX164-W / DX168 via a secure etherCON port. The DX164-W comes with a second locking EtherCon port to enable redundant connection (to compatible hardware) or daisy-chaining (to a downstream DX164-W or DX168) for even more remote I/O options.
AHM-64
Daisy-chain 2 DX164-W units to an AHM-64 SLink port. Use a DX Hub to add up to 8 DX164-Ws and patch them to 64 input channels.
Avantis
Daisy-chain 2 DX164-W units to an Avantis SLink port. Use a DX Link card and/or DX Hubs to add up to 16 DX164-Ws.
SQ
Daisy-chain 2 DX164-W units to an SQ SLink port. Use an optional SLink card for SQ to enable more connections, or a DX Hub to create a more distributed system that can handle up to 8 DX164-W or DX168 units in any combination, which can be patched to the SQ’s 48 input channels.
